What the bank says

• 12 EDGE REWARD points per ₹200 on spends up to ₹1.5 lakh a month, and 35 per ₹200 on spends above that
• Choice of a ₹12,500 voucher from Luxe, The Postcard Hotels or Yatra
• Unlimited international lounge visits with 4 guest visits a year
• Reduced 2% markup on foreign transactions
• Annual fee waived on spends of ₹25 lakh the previous year

Things that catch people out

• The 35-point rate applies above ₹1.5 lakh a month, up to your credit limit plus ₹1.5 lakh. Beyond that it drops back to 12 points.
• We value points at ₹0.20, Axis’s EDGE REWARDS value. Converted to airline miles (5 points for 2 miles) they can be worth more, but Axis gives that no rupee value.
• The ₹12,500 welcome voucher and 5X points on Travel EDGE bookings are not in our figure.
• The Burgundy version has a ₹30,000 fee and a better mile conversion; the lifetime-free version needs an Axis Burgundy salary account.
